Get Out of Your Comfort Zone!

Hey y'all!

Welcome to my new blog!  Here, I will take you on my journey from where it all began to where it is now, to where I am going!  My journey has been filled with ups and downs.  It has had many twists and turns.  It has also had some moments where I had to go back to the beginning and try it again.  There have been so many lessons learned throughout the years.

I pray this blog will encourage you to move forward in the things God has called you to.  I also pray that you can avoid some of the mistakes I have made along the way!     Inserts WINK ;)

When God started speaking things into me, they were so BIG I couldn't even wrap my head around them.  I remember saying, "There's no way I can do that.  I'm not good enough for that.  I don't even know the first step to doing this!"

I had so many reasons why I was not qualified to do the things God told me to do.  I love quotes.  So, one day I was scrolling through some and I came across one that said, "God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called."  That thing jumped out the phone and shook me! (I know, I'm so dramatic!)

Right in that moment, God showed me that I was qualified for whatever He called me to.  I printed that quote out and put it on my wall.  I even turned it into a screensaver for my phone.  I began to take steps toward, what I call, My Beginning.  Once I aligned myself to God's word for me, He started aligning people to me to help me move forward.  Some of the steps were huge!  To this day, 2015 and 2016 are kind of a blur.  Some steps were "baby steps" and were just as important as the huge ones.

One of the most important things I learned in the beginning of this process is to "get comfortable with being uncomfortable".  My mentor and pastor told me this and at that moment, I didn't quite understand it.  But now, I live by it everyday.  What I came to understand is that when we are uncomfortable, we are growing.  When I am about to do something new or different, I get uncomfortable.

But let me tell you this...EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY BREAKTHROUGHS HAVE COME ON THE OUTSIDE OF MY COMFORT ZONE!

I will tell you as you embark on this journey, whatever your journey is, GET COMFORTABLE WITH BEING UNCOMFORTABLE!

I can't wait to see what God has in store for you!

Until Next Time,

Patricia Mahone
